Dr.Robert Gallo

           Dr.Robert Gallo was born on March 23,1937 and is still alive.Dr.Bob Gallo was one of the scientist that discovered the virus which was HIV. He was the lab chief  of the National Cancer Institute, which is also part of the National Institues of Health.When his lab team and himself discovered that it was AIDS what  was killing the people and they did the HIV antibody blood test. That test would make early possibilities so they would make treatments for people who were living with HIV. Gallo also discovered the retrovirus that causes cancer  whcih also merges once that cell is infected it is know as HL-23 in human Leukemia cells. He was a type of man that only wanted credit and didn’t really do anything about it. He just wanted to be know by all people  even though he couldn’t prove anything until later on.
